Biography Dr. Olena Mazurenko is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management. She holds a PhD in Health Care Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a medical degree in the specialty of Internal Medicine from Ukraine, and completed her Master’s degree in International Health in Germany.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers a research-based PhD program in pathology. The Indiana BioMedical Gateway (IBMG) Program is the expected route for entry into the PhD program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Admitted students take a common curriculum of didactic courses and rotate in various research laboratories.
Bio Shelly D. Timmons, MD, PhD, became chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine in September 2019. She is the first woman to lead the IU department and only the fourth woman to serve as chair of a neurosurgical department at a U.S. medical school.
