Responding to student needs, IU South Bend will not require SAT or ACT test scores to be considered for Summer or Fall 2020 admission. Starting with Spring 2021, IU South Bend joins other IU campuses in adopting a test optional admissions policy.
A completed online application submitted through IU South Bend’s Graduate Programs Admissions application A Statement of purpose (a two- to three-page essay, double spaced) identifying the candidate’s goals and interest in pursuing graduate work in Communication Studies and describing the educational and work experiences that contributed to that sense of purpose.

All required placement exams must be completed prior to meeting with an advisor to register for classes or attending New Student Orientation.. in a math course from another college or university that is equivalent to a 100-level or above math course at IU South Bend;. You will have 75 minutes to write an essay on one of two essay prompts.

IU South Bend - Master of Social Work (MSW), Fall 2020. If you received a BSW within the past five years of your intended MSW start date, you are eligible for advanced standing admission. If you received a BSW outside of this time frame, or if you have a bachelor’s degree other than a BSW, you are eligible for regular standing admission.
This program is offered by IU Bloomington, IU East, IU Fort Wayne, IU Kokomo, IU Northwest, IUPUC, IUPUI, IU South Bend, and IU Southeast. After applying, you will be assigned a home campus. You will submit application documents to the Office of Admissions of that campus.
